I was always a bit dissatisfied with the older version of this work. I thought the bright colors a bit simplistic. I am currently studying a more painterly, layered approach. To me, this repainted piece is now more pensive, and way more realistic. It reminds me of the casual moments that often happen in an artist's studio, a moment when the model is just getting off the podium to maybe stretch her legs. The one above is the current finished work.
